Tourism promotion procession held in Bangkok today

 Thursday, November 16, 2017

Bangkok todayBangkok motorists were advised to avoid Rama I and Ratchadamri roads today evening, as a tourism promotion procession came from Pathumwan intersection to Lumpini Park.

The outbound lane of Rama I road (next to Siam Discovery) from Pathumwan intersection to Chaloem Phao Junction was closed from 5pm to 9pm. The processions went along Rama 1 Road and turned right at Ratchaprasong intersection, then along Ratchadamri Road to Lumpini Park.

Drivers were advised to avoid the route to ease traffic problems. Spectators were advised to use public transport to attend the event.

The procession marked the government’s “Amazing Thailand Tourism Year 2018” campaign, which runs from Nov 1 to Jan 1, 2019. The procession went on in six parts — the symbol of “Amazing Thailand Tourism Year 2018”, traditions from the five regions of Thailand, Thai gastronomy, colourful festivals, sport tourism and good hosts.
