After a tourism ad in 2008 that made use of ‘Experience Regina’ as its tagline, 15 years later, the City of Regina is rebranding its tourism segment to match up nicely with that tagline once again.
New name to rebrand ‘Tourism Regina’ makes use of an old song that became viral on social media. The song was initially intended to be a parody.
‘Tourism Regina’ does not exist anymore. As of now, the rebranded version is ‘Experience Regina’. The city has been projecting this brand for quite few years now, and it is time now to own it. This was how the Twitter post read from the rebranded Experience Regina.
The organization also displayed a video that featured musical artists Melodna and DJ Tolley T, who are humming and rapping to the Experience Regina song.
The Experience Regina song and saying is essentially based on a parody posted on YouTube in 2008 that was intended to joke at tourism videos in general.
