Tourism service providers & their code of conduct

The Fiji Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation will put into practice the Code of Conduct for Tourism Service Providers.


Prime Minister, Sitiveni Rabuka, making the declaration this morning, says that in Fiji, the Code of Conduct is the first national tourism guideline set up to highlight the necessity for high standard of service for tourism operators, particularly when connecting with businesses, clients and host communities in their everyday business operations.


He explains the main purpose of the Code of Conduct are to offer a yardstick in regards to the anticipated moral conduct of service providers when connecting with other businesses, visitors, arrange communities, employees, and the environment.


Rabuka says that it will make sure that tourism service providers carry out activities in agreement with the laws and regulations of public authorities while preserving the standards.


He explains that it will support fair, safe, and competitive market as well and uphold tourism integrity and Fiji’s image as a tourism destination.


The Prime Minister explains the Code of Conduct will be obtainable as a national guideline that can be executed voluntarily by any tourism service provider without any legal obligation.
