The tourism industry must be completely geared up to rebuild its workforce by searching for its solutions to the pertinent housing crisis of the country, by offering reasonably priced accommodation options along with forceful reasons for employees to hang about.

With tough challenges related to workforce across the economy, businesses related to tourism have to now believe in creativity in looking for methods to draw and maintain their workforce and that signifies spending for the solutions to manage the big issues which is housing affordability for lower income workers.

The Director & Co-founder of the top social data analytics advisory service, Simon Kuestenmacher, for the Demographics Group, will be presenting his viewpoint on the means to reconstruct the workforce of the industry at the ATEC Meeting Place conference as keynote presenter in Cairns this week.

The export tourism industry of Australia has a powerful future with a stable stream of demand in terms of international visitors in the coming 50 years but Simon says the tough problem is the way operators make the most of this growth.

Mr Kuestenmacher said that to meet this demand without workers, how they offer a service. For the tourism industry, that’s the biggest issue.

He said that many people associated with the hospitality industry like tour guides, cleaning staff and others are tremendously young and at this moment, tourism businesses are finding it tough to attract them.
