Tourism stakeholders welcome night curfew withdrawal

While greeting the recent decision to raise the night curfew with regard to the drop in new COVID-19 cases, the tourism stakeholders have said that this move will definitely boost the hospitality sector.

C. Narayana Gowda, president, Mysuru Hotel Owners’ Association, have said that it will have huge impact and profit the tourism sector besides restaurants and hotels.

To quote Gowda, “The night curfew created uncertainty over travel and people were hesitant to venture out at night. But the decision to lift night curfew will boost tourism and help the sector to recoup faster.”

There was a noticeable increase in the tourist numbers coming to Mysuru. Stakeholders are keen on witnessing more events on the lines of Dasara to give a stimulus to the tourism sector. Mysuru used to carry out a winter festival.

Demands are on the rise to reintroduce it during December with the year-end crowd to descend on the city.
