As Turkey has implemented several measures to guarantee safety of the local as well as international tourists in the middle of the virus outbreak, visitors are commending the initiations of the country against the virus at various hospitals, airports and hotels.
The normalization period in Antalya, the Mediterranean city that greets millions of tourists every year from abroad, brought a glimpse of hope for tourism that the related businesses could improve before the end of summer season.
In the meantime, tourists visiting the Mediterranean coast of Turkey said they feel safe and for that credit goes to a recent healthy tourism certification program, which was introduced together with Turkey’s Foreign Ministry, Culture and Tourism Ministry, and Transportation Ministry.
The program sets out several steps for various sectors, including accommodation, transportation, the health status of travelers and employee facilities for the ones keen on vacationing in Turkey.
‘Turkish touristic spots among the safest in Europe’ Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy explained on Sunday that the health care system of Turkey and infrastructure strongly controlled the virus attack and
incoming foreign tourists should feel safe when they visit here.
While speaking at a promotional event for the country’s “health tourism
certificate” program alongside Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu in Antalya, Ersoy stated that coronavirus cases recorded highest in the touristic regions of Turkey was one of the lowest levels in Europe.
Ersoy also mentioned that the country reopened international air travel after implementing strict measures against the spread.
Anadolu Agency (AA) took decision to go with Russian Mariia Kostareva and her family in Antalya upon their arrival at the airport. The agency captured footage of their experience from the airport through the hotel to the beach.
The family was seen leaving the plane with masks on their faces and went
through thermal screening as well while following social distancing measures.
They also used hand sanitizer available at various points in the airport.
