A large blaze broke out in west London resulting in travel disruption of trains to and from Heathrow Airport and dozens of firefighters were working on it.

Six fire engines and up to 40 firefighter were deployed to tackle the fire at an old coal depot in Tavistock Road, West Drayton, while the residents were told to keep their windows and doors shut.

Passengers using the Heathrow Express, TfL and the Great Western Railway have been told to expect delays as services were resumed.

The fire began at around 2pm and since than fifteen people were evacuated. However, the cause of the blaze is still not known and there are no reports of any injuries.
A container, an industrial conveyor belt, 15 vans and three articulated lorries were currently alight.

Station Manager Jon Holt stated that the fire was very visible and produced a lot of smoke. Residents and businesses in the area should keep their windows and doors shut and drivers should avoid the area if possible.

An eyewitness said that there was smoke everywhere and it was scary. There were armed police in the street closing off the roads and getting everybody back – they all had all the proper gear on.

A resident took to twitter and mentioned that the fire seems to be contained now but he heard the explosion near West Drayton station a while ago, over here in Yiewsley.
