Travel Tech firm Get-e has appointed Thanh Luu as a global sales manager

The Ground transportation expert Get-e has appointed Thanh Luu to the role of global sales manager for travel.

Based at the company’s Amsterdam head office, Thanh will be responsible for bolstering Get-e’s go-to strategy for the entire travel ecosystem, including travel agents, travel operators, travel management companies (TMC), destination management companies (DMC) and cruise liners.

Thanh began her career at STA Travel where she held various positions including business travel products and project manager overseeing STA’s digital transformation to enter the TMC space. She then spent time at Thomas Cook’s bedbank brand Medhotels as operations support manager, before joining software as a service (SaaS) technology company Revinate as director of sales EMEA.

Thanh says that for me, technology and SaaS have increased unimaginable levels of automation and smarter ways to work. Covid was a wake-up call for digitalisation in the travel industry. Infrastructure was found not to be as agile as it needed to be. With leaner resources, the desire to ‘go digital’ evolved quickly.

Not only does Get-e improve operational efficiency for TMCs and travel agents, but it is also about providing the highest duty of care to clients, travel partners and business travellers. Any travel company can know that when they send travellers out, they are taking full responsibility for their safety throughout the entirety of their journey, including the ability to fully oversee how they transfer their travellers on the ground, which can often be overlooked. With GPS tracking and reporting, digitalising airport transfers means TMCs can stay one step ahead.
