Turkey’s goal is to become one of the major global tourism markets by 2023 and in spite of a slowdown in 2016, figures for the third quarter of 2017 show that it’s well on track to achieve this, with a rebound of almost 40% year-on-year. Travelers have renewed their confidence in Turkey following the implementation of successful security initiatives and political stability.

Apart from increasing visitor numbers, Turkey’s tourism sector aims to see revenues grow to $30 billion by this year end.

Additionally, the country’s tourism centers – Istanbul and Antalya – have received billions of dollars in investment, overhauling infrastructure and transport networks in order to increase visitors.
