The Ukrainian war has been going on for about 14 days. the world is in an upheaval and is in shock after Russia launched its invasion. The Air Astana and Pegasus Airlines from Kazakhstan and Turkey respectively have said that they are temporarily going to suspending flights to Russia. This move comes after the sanctions were imposed on Moscow over its invasion of Ukraine. Uncertainties over the aircraft insurance of planes flying over Russia have led to the companies to take this decision.
Air Astana, the national airlines of Kazakhstan, operates flights to several Russian destinations. They are trying to resume their services as soon as possible. Similar steps may been taken by the Pegasus Airlines, a budget airlines of Turkey.
Pegasus Airlines has said that their flights to Russia are will be suspended from 13th – 17th March. Turkish airline has said that this measure is linked to the recent blockades on Russia that has been imposed by the European Union and the United States of America.
