UAE campaign raises visitor numbers

A campaign of UAE domestic tourism has been hailed for rising the visitor numbers and hotel revenues at the time of advertising the exotic culture of the Emirates.


The third annual Coolest Winter campaign of the world was introduced on December 4th by the Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, at Ajman’s Al Zorah nature reserve.


It was targeted to support the residents as well as vacationers to unravel all that the country has in store, starting right from nature spots to entertainment sites and five-star hotels.


On Sunday, during the latest campaign, the UAE Government Media Office said that UAE hotels had enjoyed total revenues of Dh1.8 billion. This was up from Dh1.5 billion in the corresponding period 2022.
The media office said that the number of domestic tourists increased to 1.4 million. This was an increase of 8 per cent annually.


The Minister of Economy, Abdulla bin Touq, said that the scheme was instrumental to the efforts of UAE to improve the tourism’s contribute to the GDP to Dh450bn by 2031.


Mr Bin Touq said that the Campaign did well in throwing light on their uniqueness and heritage, and introducing Emirate’s rich culture and taking advantage of the great accomplishment attained in the past editions.


The campaign for this year is set to commemorate the heritage of UAE, its national identity, and authentic Emirati values.
