In the UAE, travel agents have recently confirmed that the issuing of 60 days visit visas have started once again. This move is part of the sweeping reforms, known as the Advanced Visa System, which October 3rd had come into effect as per a declaration by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security.

Afi Ahmed, managing director of Smart Travel, said that for a client, they were one of the first countries to issue a 60-day visit visa. At present, they are charging Dh500 for it.

Also, other travel agents have confirmed on the same of the issuance of the 60-day visit visas. A spokesperson for Deira Travels said that they have succeeded to get the two-month visit visa for their client. There is some disparity in the cost of the visa for children compared to a 30-day visa.

Bharat Aidsani from Pluto Travels said that they are still in the pending process which requires some clarifications from the immigration department. Though, they know that the 60-day visit visa has come into effect and is being issued.

The Advanced Visa System implemented one of the largest residency and entry permit reforms in UAE. As per details proclaimed in April by the UAE Cabinet, all entry visas are valid for 60 days from their issuance date.

A job exploration entry visa are among the new entry permits; one for business entry, a five-year multi-entry tourist visa.
