UAE tourism – Bumper forecast for this year’s winter

This winter, sports tourists who are heading to the UAE are hoped to improve the economy related to local hospitality and events by millions of dirhams, analysts predict.


In a list the UAE topped as one of the preferred destinations for the one who are travelling to the region to see some of the biggest world sporting events, like Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, 2022 Fifa World Cup in Qatar, and European Tour golf’s Race to Dubai finals.


The travelers who selected the UAE keeping in mind its nearness to important sporting events along with family-orientated activities, security, personal safety, room availability, shopping, adventure sports and flawless connectivity, as per a recent report by online travel agency Musafir.


In the meantime, Dubai’s hospitality companies reported about considerably higher demand for hotel rooms, events, brunches and yacht hire due to the high-profile sports events in the final quarter of 2022.
Qatar’s football World Cup is the main attraction, with a flood of tourist arrivals are expected to happen from South America ― a comparatively new tourism market for the Emirates.


Mohanad Malhas, general manager at Arabian Adventures, said that for international source markets, this is the usual high leisure season, however, in 2022; they are definitely experiencing a major rise in demand in terms of arrivals from particular countries like Argentina and Brazil. Malhas said that they are witnessing powerful demand for our services during the winter months of 2022.
