Life in the Lake City of Udaipur is gradually going back to usual and tourism is once again showing signs of growth in the midst of lessening of tensions over the murder of a tailor. The district administration has started synchronizing with hoteliers and tour operators for bringing back tourism activities to its regular form.
Tarachand Meena, the District collector and SP Vikas Sharma examined the state of affairs in Udaipur in a meeting with the officials and members of diverse tourist organizations.
Meena said that the authorities need to offer essential information and amenities for tourists visiting Udaipur and other tourist places in Rajasthan. He urged the officials to match up with the tour operators and hoteliers to resurrect tourism.
The tour operators and hoteliers assured that the situation in Udaipur is serene and affable for tourists. They said that tourists who wish to visit Udaipur can be provided assurance in booking.
Tourists coming to the city are growing steadily and booking of tourists has started in hotels. After the vigorous monsoon in the last two days, tourist numbers in Udaipur have improved. Important tourist places of the city like the Biological Park Sajjangarh and Sajjangarh Sanctuary witnessed 445 and 1,072 tourists between July 3 and July 6, respectively.
On July 3 and 4, around 155 tourists visited the Bird Park in Gulab Bagh and 623 tourists dropped in Saheliyon Ki Bari.
