Navneet Chowfla, a naturalist, to encourage tourism which is actually the need of the hour has recently demanded to incorporate the ‘Ude Desh Ka Aam Naagrik’ scheme (UDAN) in Chamba, a town in Himachal Pradesh. In 2017, the scheme was devised by the government.
Chowfla explained the scheme would boost up state tourism, as well as recovering the financial condition impacted by Covid-19. The plan would boost water adventure and sports tourism in Chamera Lake, Pong Dam and Gobind Sagar reservoir of the Bhakra Dam, he said. “The schemewill benefit horticulture and floriculture in the hilly regions of Chamba,” he said.
