UK event planners prioritise cost and quality

According to the Business of Event survey, the event organisers from the UK are choosing quality and cost management as a priority when choosing a venue.

The sector report from The Business of Events surveyed business audiences, various international buyer communities, association planners, corporate event planners, and various agency planners. The countries covered mostly are western Europe, North America and the United Kingdom.

Many questions have been put forward to the American, European and Asian delegates and event organisers.
Most of the delegates said that they prefered corporate events and planning. They put huge value on the quality and cost-cutting possibilities.

The question asked several delegates whether they prefer quantity or quality and most of them stated that they prefered cost-friendly venues with quality performances. Additional findings suggest that the delegates are preferring sustainable growth possibilities, the value of money, destination brand management, venue quality, accessibility and ease of travelling and lastly connectivity with the world.

UK planners ranked cost and quality highest, followed by sustainability, accessibility and quality of welcome. The Europe planners have prefered to get the highest quality place, accessibility and quality management. North American venue checkers prefer to get the venues that are accessible to the public or well connected with the transportation management.

Global destination data would reveal a more in-depth understanding of the situation when they publish the data in November.
