This year the Britain’s visitor attractions will get a major boost with investment of £50m (US$70.2m, €57m).
The British Association of Leisure Parks, Piers and Attractions( BALPPA) saw a rise in staycations with constant growth in inbound tourism boosting the tourism sector in 2018, apart from significant investment across Britain’s attractions sector.
IN 2017 the inbound tourism as per VisitBritain increased by 6.6 per cent.Concerns regarding domestic security affected the Capital London while regional spend increased as Britions preferred staycation instead of travelling abroad.
BALPPA stated that the relative weakness of the pound and the existing split of the UK from the European Union along with soon-to-open rides, features and exciting events is bound to encourage international visits and influence the British public to vacation on their home ground.
The most significant among the 2018’s new opening is Alton Towers’ Wicker Man – the first new wooden rolle rcoaster in Britain in more than 20 years.
The Great Coasters –designed ride combines wood and fire to provide a thrilling experience which was opened to the public at the weekend.
Bear Grylls Adventure at the Birmingham NEC would be set up at the Midlands.
Later this year will be, the celebrity survivalist promised to “bring adventure to millions”.
BALPPA chief executive, Paul Kelly stated that the major investment across the industry will have great new attractions on offer throughout the UK.
