Turkey will be the host to the joint annual meeting of the United Nations’ culture and tourism agencies in 2018 as confirmed by Turkish Culture and Tourism Minister Numan Kurtulmuş has said.
Meeting for the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) for 2018 might be held in Istanbul, although, the authorities are still considering other choices for the venue. However, if Turkey can host the meeting in 2018, it will be a “golden opportunity” to introduce the tourism and diverse culture to the world.
Kurtulmuş was attending this year’s annual meeting of the U.N. agencies in Muscat and said that the “protection of the identity of Muslims in Jerusalem was raised at an international forum.” He also shared insight on Turkey’s responsibility to raise the issue globally.
