UNWTO International Academy of Tourism will be set up in Samarkand

Uzbekistan team went to the headquarters of the UNWTO in Madrid to talk about the arrangements for the 25th-anniversary session of the General Assembly of UNWTO. It will be held in 2023 on 16 th till 20 th October in Samarkand.

The participants of this imminent meeting will be shown the rich and exotic culture and tourism potential of this country in central Asia and investment attractiveness over here as well.

Ulugbek Azamov, the First Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of Uzbekistan, Zurab Pololikashvili, UNWTO Secretary-General, and Aziz Abdukhakimov, the Rector of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, signed a memorandum on setting up of Samarkand UNWTO International Academy of Tourism.

This new academy will fortify the 30-year collaboration between UNWTO and Uzbekistan even more. It will teach the tourism experts on international experience and best overseas practices.
