The first-ever Qatar Tourism Awards, organized in collaboration with UNWTO, centered around three main categories: Service Excellence, Cultural Experiences, and Smart Solutions.
During the awards ceremony, a surprise category, the Community Contribution Award, was introduced to honour individual community members who demonstrated exceptional hospitality and outstanding services to visitors.
His Excellency Saad Bin Ali Al Kharji, Chairman of Qatar Tourism, and Basmah Al-Mayman, Regional Director for the Middle East at UNTWO, were present at the ceremony held at Raffles Doha to announce the winners.
The winners showcased the wide range of experiences, locations, lodging options, and hospitality businesses that make up the tourism industry. The winners were acknowledged for their efforts in advancing innovation and sustainability in tourism, aligning with the key priorities set by UNWTO for the industry.
