UNWTO & Saudi to augment tourism education and training

In the tourism sector, UNWTO and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will work together with the mission of encouraging education and professional development.

Training & Education: The main concern for Tourism!

UNWTO is the United Nations specialized agency for tourism. For the sector, it has identified education as one of its main priorities. By now, as tourism is one of the top employers and provider of opportunity, most importantly for women and youth, UNWTO is all prepared to extend the admittance to training, education, and jobs and to help the ones who are already associated with the sector to develop resourcefully.

Zurab Pololikashvili, UNWTO’s Secretary General, said that they are working to eliminate the constraints between jobs, skills and training and brings on the massive potential of tourism as an employer. He observed that their vision is to provide anyone who is enthusiastic about the sector to gain access to the multiple opportunities that it provides, no matter where they are based in worldwide. Saudi Minister of Tourism, H.E. Ahmed Al Khateeb, said that investing behind human capital development is an investment for the future. This is a landmark contract that gives importance to people with an aim on e-learning power. Partnering with UNWTO, they make sure that opportunities related to development are easy to get worldwide, building the workforce essential to help tourism’s flourishing and sustainable future.
