The Uttar Pradesh government is focusing to attract investment valued at Rs. 20,000 crore in the tourism sector for improving UP into a ‘tourism state’ and generating employment opportunities for 10 lakh youths in the next five years.

At a meeting supervised by the UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state cabinet permitted the new tourism rule for investors eager to build up important tourist places, together with the lesser known but scenic natural destinations. The policy brings a lot of respite to the investors through discounts and incentives for the growth of tourist destinations.

Under the new strategy, a range of grants have been declared for the entrepreneurs investing in UP.

The new policy also considers developing the understanding, requirement and significance of tourism and culture among the youth and children from the very onset. Under this strategy, youth tourism clubs have been recognized for developing responsible and sustainable tourism in India. Additionally, prizes will be given away for the best tour operator, wellness center, hotel, heritage hotel and best eco tourism operator.
