Uttarakhand Tourism Development Council (UTDB) organizing a three-day food festivalin Mussoorie

The Uttarakhand Tourism Development Council (UTDB) is holding a three-day food festival at Mall Road in Mussoorie. People visiting this famous tourist spot during this time will be able to take pleasure inPahari cuisine, be part of cultural programmes, live bands along with Uttarakhandi folk dance.

The festival will also be hosting various types of competitions, where winners will be honored with prizes. India’s first Master Chef, PankajBhadauria, will be gracing the event. Famous food storyteller AnubhavSapra will be interacting with the crowd and enable people to share old traditions related to food with a new perspective.

Uttarakhand Tourism Minister SatpalMaharajsaid that the products and dishes at the festival are embedded in the culture of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand, which has always attracted people for long. He added that the state government is also committed to boost tourism, Pahari cuisines and products.

Tourism Secretary DilipJawalkar added that in view of Christmas and New Year, the number of tourists from India and abroad has started increasing in Mussoorie. He said that tourists should visit the festival and savorPahari dishes in the food festival, whereas special preparations have been made regarding this by the tourism department.
