Uzbekistan relaxes visa norms

• Indians will find it easier to get a visa to Uzbekistan from February onwards  as the country has relaxed its visa process for 39 countries that will include including New Zealand, Canada and the US among others.

The requirement for a letter of invitation will no longer be needed to apply visa for travellers from theses countries. The processing time has been reduced from five working days to just two and the trip will be helpful if one applies for multiple visas for a  trip around the ‘Stand .

From 2021 there will be e-visas  which has been pushed ahead to 2018, so from July onwards one can apply for an Uzbek visa and collect it once it arrives.

There will be visa-free travel for up to 30 days for travellers from Indonesia , Israel, South Korea, Turkey, Malaysia, Singapore and Japan.
