As per latest travel news from Europe, vaccinated travelers might be able to travel in the European Union this summer. The European Union’s executive has recommended allowing foreign travelers from more countries in the EU. This indicates that COVID-19 travel restrictions might be eased in the coming days.
The European tourism sector has been badly affected by the COVID-19 crisis. Currently, the European Union has implemented strict travel restrictions, allowing entry of citizens from only seven countries.
The European Union could allow foreign citizens of countries with a good epidemiological situation to travel. However, these citizens need to be vaccinated against corona virus. The recommendation is yet to get approved by the 27 member states of the European Union.
Among the seven nations whose citizens are currently allowed to travel to the European Union, there is Australia and Singapore. However, this could change this summer, if the European Union decides to allow vaccinated foreigners from other countries too. The new recommendations aim to renew global relationships safely, while also helping the travel industry to revive in the European Union.
