It’s time to come out of the Covid shadow and see that the wheels of economy are starting to move again. However, this does not mean that the pandemic is over. We need to learn lessons and move ahead get the economy back on track. We need to speed up the process of vaccination to make sure that at least one third of the people are vaccinated in the next couple of months.
The US, for example, had witnessed the worst situation last year. It has now vaccinated more than one third of its population against COVID-19 reaching a stage where practically people can give up wearing a mask under the latest guidelines from Centre for Disease Control and Prevention.
In spite of that, large number of people in the US prefers to use masks due to their health benefits. This is a lesson that we need to learn so that we can have a successful coexistence with Corona without giving up on other things till it becomes endemic.
This will help in reopening and resurrecting the travel and tourism sector which has been going through a tough time for more than a year.
