Viceroy Unveils New Global Identity, Prioritizes Local Experiences

Viceroy Hotels & Resorts announces a global rebrand to enhance local experiences at all its properties.

Viceroy Hotels & Resorts, a luxury boutique hotel chain, has unveiled a new global branding initiative emphasizing unique local experiences for guests. This comprehensive transformation spans both the visual and digital aspects of the brand, applying to all of its current and forthcoming properties across nine locations.

The revamped brand image is paired with a fresh approach to guest engagement. Each hotel under the Viceroy umbrella will now offer a series of specially curated experiences designed to connect visitors with the culture and activities of the region. These range from innovative music production workshops to guided tours focusing on ‘local legends’ and comprehensive wellness retreats.

The rebrand strategy was first implemented at Viceroy’s most recent launch in the eco-friendly Ombria Resort in the Algarve, Portugal. This location not only reflects the brand’s new direction but also sets a standard for future properties. The 141-room resort boasts an array of amenities including six unique dining options, a luxury spa, and a golf course. Guests can also engage in local activities like honey production, pottery making, and horseback riding trails, enhancing their stay with authentic local flavors and experiences.
