Victorian businesses greeted travel voucher scheme of the state government

Victorian businesses have greeted with open arms the return of the travel voucher scheme of the state government to keep tourism afloat as the region gets back from the severe impacts of COVID-19.

At 2pm on Wednesday, almost 140,000 travel vouchers will be available as the Victorian Travel Voucher Scheme goes live once again

The Victorian Travel Voucher Scheme offers applicants with a $200 reimbursement when expenses over $400 are incurred across accommodation, attraction and experiences.

Vouchers can be used one per household. Travellers must stay in hotels, motels, serviced apartments, caravan parks and campsites to be eligible for a minimum of two consecutive nights.

Those who secure a voucher can claim expenses earned during the program travel period of April 8 and May 27, 2022. The 140,000 vouchers to be released are in addition to the 10,000 travel vouchers made available last week exclusively to the suitable senior members through a ballot with 34,047 eligible applications made.
