The aircraft was flying from Germany to Vietnam.
But then it was compelled to opt for the emergency landing in Romania on Monday to save a Danish passenger after he stopped breathing. The airplane thereafter landed at Bucharest Henri Coanda International Airport after one of the doctors had offered the sick passenger emergency aid soon after he started feeling unwell on board the flight.
A representative of Vietnam Airlines mentioned that the Danish passenger is currently in a stable condition and has been discharged from the hospital.
The flight then landed safely in Hanoi about three hours late.
The airline said that it had to book new tickets for people who were catching connections from the capital of Vietnam.
