Vietnam tourism not managing problems aptly

For many years instead of improving the condition of its ailing tourism industry, Vietnam prefers to make excuses for issues that have plagued the sector.

Travel aficionados are fully aware what’s wrong with Vietnam along with the casual attitude of the authorities in taking things lightly. Locals of Vietnam will lose interest in traveling let alone foreign tourists, if all the harassment and overcharging does not stop immediately. Vietnam needs to put its foot down and squash it completely.

Fancy buildings won’t attract tourists to Vietnam; it just needs to treat its existing problems suitably.

And if hassling is being termed quite normal as it happens it other places too, tourists will simply stop coming to Vietnam and explore other countries. Apart from hassling, destruction of nature and the environment of Vietnam is yet another crucial issue. Senseless construction of buildings to pocket more money from people is tremendously destructive.

Japan, South Korea and Thailand are ready to face their problems which are taking their tourism to heights. And Vietnam is constantly making excuses for its mistakes. Instead of acknowledging that overcharging tourists is alarming, we give excuse that “it happens everywhere”. We settle for mediocrity.
