Vietnam's major international airportVietnam Airlines has raised airfares for children aged between two and 12 years from 75 to 90% of the cost of an adult ticket.

Ticket prices would continue to be at 10% of an adult fare for infants under two years old on the airline. Budget carrier Vietjet Air has also mentioned that it had increased the cost of altering the name on a ticket by nearly 28% on international flights and 21% for domestic flights.

Alterations to a flight date has also risen by about 6% for international flights in addition to the fare difference.

Service and security fees at regional airports have been raised slightly after a regulation was issued by the Ministry of Transport by Vietnam last August.

Vietnam’s aviation industry has been increasing in the recent years.

The nation had served over 94 million air travellers in 2017, up by 16% from the previous year and this includes 13 million foreign visitors.
