The staff members of Visit Florida have recently designed a tourism- marketing plan. It was done with the intention to fight rising competition from states that in the past few years inflicted stringent restrictions related to COVID-19.

Now, as the restrictions have been raised countrywide and made simplified worldwide, and up in the tourism dollar of the proposed budget of Florida for the 2023-2024 fiscal year, the Marketing Council of the state tourism agency on Tuesday started plans, in part, that would improve the launch of winter and families marketing promotions within few months.

Visit Florida’s vice president of marketing, Brett Laiken, said that they all have shifted these up to open in October and March, which they consider will place them to get into the travel talks earlier in the decision process and make best use of their traveler visitation.

The efforts of the marketing campaign will carry on highlighting the coastline areas and theme parks, but regional and outdoor activities as well.

Laiken stated that the agency aimed last year on the revival of Florida from COVID-19, and in 2023 they are keen to have fun in terms of the record numbers in the face of rising competition.

The planned state budget for the 2023-2024 fiscal year will start from July 1 st . For Visit Florida, it has $80 million, a $30 million rise from the present fiscal year. Still, Gov. Ron DeSantis needs to sign off on the budget.
