Qatar Tourism said that the number of visitors to the country increased to a record-breaking 151,000 visitors in July.
Qatar has received 10 award nominations comprising Middle East’s prominent destination at this year’s Middle East occasion of the ‘World Travel Awards’ which would be held on this 18th September in Jordan.
Qatar has reorganized its Covid-19 necessities for inbound tourists, making travel more convenient for those willing to visit for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 in November – getting rid of its red travel list and obligation of masks. Visitors to Qatar need to provide a negative PCR test result, effective for 48 hours, or a negative rapid antigen test result, effective for 24 hours.
Qatar Tourism launched a new stopover campaign that features David Beckham, with the country gearing up to greet 1.2 million visitors for the FIFA World Cup. In the countdown to the kick off, Qatar is adding 105 new hotels and serviced apartments to its current widespread range of properties.
Other important imminent tourism expansions in Qatar comprise the Doha Winter Wonderland, an associated event to the well-known Hyde Park event; Fuwairit Kite Beach – a high-tech kite surfing resort, Qetaifan Island North – labeled the first “Entertainment Island” in Qatar, and West Bay North Beach Project – an innovative first-rate beachfront at the center of Doha. These are the newest attractions in the flurry of resort and attraction intros in Qatar in the last few years.
