Reflecting on the importance of British market to Vietnam, the country’s tourist board has set up its first international tourism office in London.

It was opened on Tuesday, November 5 to make a mark in the biggest and more important markets . Around 300,000 Brits visit the south East Asian destination every year.

Across the UK and Ireland the office will focus on increasing the arrivals and strengthening relations with the travel trade and media.

By 2023 Vietnam tourism intends to attract 500,000 annual visitors from the UK and the office intends to bring the country’s tourism assets closer to the UK travellers and help them with trip inspiration.

The country’s offering is centred around its food, scenery, heritage and culture  along with the warmth of its people.

The VietnamNOW campaign has sought to celebrate the country’s journey from past to present.

Tran Trong Kien, chairman of Vietnam’s Tourism Advisory Board stated that their first international office, which will be based in the UK, is a significant milestone for Vietnam.

The UK will be one of their biggest and most important markets. Travellers from the UK love their authentic local food, immerse in their dynamic and vibrant cities, enjoy great beaches and explore  beautiful landscapes as well as our unique culture.
