This is developed in partnership between Evennts DC and the hospitality industry voice hub Volara and is powered by the Volara’s conversation management technology.
There are wayfinding kiosks inside the 2.3 million-square-foot building will host the voice assistant.
The new solution is built atop Amazon Alexa and the visitors are encouraged to ask Alexa about the happenings within the Convention center and ask where to find meeting spaces, food- and-beverages outlets, the closest shoe shine, the business center etc.
The visitors will be greeted with the Volara-powered solution on Amazon Alexa . the voice commands will extend the facility to the local businesses , services and attractions.
It is expected that the Events DC team will be working with Volara to add more comments to the voice assistants to personalize experiences.
The conversation management engine of Volara will be leveraged to respond to voice prompts for each event.
