Celebrate the onset of monsoons in Mumbai with a delectable selection of specials from India’s North-Eastern states as the culinary experts at Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai welcome the season with a Feast from the Foothills, from June 21 to July 4, 2021.

Featuring traditional masterpieces from Assam, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh and more, guests can treat their taste buds to an epicurean feast crafted by Chef Saran Rai and his team.

Inspired by recipes from Chef Saran’s hometown in Nepal and his travels all across the North-Eastern province, the menu promises to take diners on a culinary voyage that is sure to spark that wanderlust feeling. His preparations exalt local ingredients and cooking techniques that are simple, rustic and rooted in tradition.

Take pleasure in well-known, wholesome appetisers such as taipo (street-style steamed buns from Sikkim), Tibetan thukpa bowls and native Himalayan momos showcasing fresh ingredients and aromatic herbs that come together in perfect harmony.

Complimenting the starters are hearty mains such as masor tenga (sour fish curry from Assam), iromba (a Manipuri delicacy made with seasonal vegetables and fermented fish), aksa pork (braised chicken with ginger rice porridge), mai and bai (a flavourful vegetable stew from Mizoram) and more.

Every dish on the menu has been thoughtfully curated and hand-picked to give guests the experience of what it means to journey through the flavours of North-East India.
