Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali celebrated womanhood

 The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali and its Bali International Convention Centre hosted an inspiring afternoon gathering on Wednesday, 20^th March 2019 to pay tribute to women and the role they play in society. This meaningful event was held in acknowledgement of International Women’s Day that took place earlier this month and Kartini Day, a national day coming up in April that honors the empowerment of Indonesian women.

The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali and its Bali International Convention Centre paid tribute to women and the role they play in the society on Wednesday, March 20. The event was held to acknowledge the International Women’s Day that happened earlier this month and the upcoming Kartini Day, that honors the empowerment of Indonesian women.

The get-together had sessions on breast cancer awareness after the event was commenced with a speech from the Gaye Warren, Founder of Bali Pink Ribbon. She spoke on the outreach programme where screenings help in women to access urgent medical care.

There was a vibrant fashion parade by REE Indonesia and informal talks held by the Co-Founder and Creative Director of WordPix Asia, Tressabel Hutasoit. Other speaker had also joined her and spoke on wellness, family obligations and female entrepreneurship.

Oriol Montal, General Manager of The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali, shared his insights on boyhood experience of growing up in a male dominated society in Spain. Now as a loving husband and father of two small daughters, he has a better understanding about women and is proud to work for a company like Marriott International that stands for gender equality.
