Wizz Air expands its European roots with Austria joining its network as the 44th country.
According to reports the low-cost carrier will open a new base at Vienna Airport in June with an Airbus A320 before adding two Airbus A321 aircraft in November.
Wizz Air operate a total of 17 new routes from the Austrian capital in 2018 showing a massive growth of Wizz Air’s Vienna base.
An investment by Wizz Air of $331 million has been made in the base establishments.
Jozsef Váradi, chief executive at Wizz Air, said that things will change for Austrian travellers and for the first time, truly low fares can be availed in Vienna.
The Austrian customers can now travel from Vienna on an extensive network of routes to Europe and beyond at the lowest prices and experience .
