The 2019 edition of WTM Latin America is already in production. Scheduled to take place between 2 – 4 April, 2019 at Expo Center Norte in São Paulo, the event’s organizers have announced that registrations for the Hosted Buyers Programme, the programme for international buyers, is now open.

The aim of the Hosted Buyers Programme is to select 60 potential buyers – 60% from other Latin American countries and 40% from the rest of the world – to sign commercial agreements with all WTM Latin America’s exhibitors. This programme does not include Brazilian buyers, but has representatives from the Leisure and Corporate Tourism and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) segments.

All those buyers who register are analysed to check for criteria such as their interest in products from Latin America and other continents, power to take buying decisions, the size and representativeness of the company in their country (annual turnover), the potential of the current market for business and investments, and other aspects.

Programme professionals will enjoy various facilities, such as: a contribution towards their airline tickets, accommodation and local transport; a personalized meeting diary with exhibitors who are suitable for their particular buying profile; exclusive opportunities for formal and informal networking; participation in the Speed Networking sessions and access to an exclusive lounge.

In 2018, the International Buyers Programme brought together more than 60 professionals from 5 continents and 23 countries. Buyers in this edition also participated heavily in two Speed Networking sessions, which involved more than 500 exhibitors who were keen to meet the hosted buyers.

“Our customers and exhibitors look forward anxiously to meeting the hosted buyers we bring here every year. This programme has exceeded their expectations since 2013 because we work hard to bring in qualified buyers who provide effective results. We have excellent know-how of programmes like this because of our global team and the shared experience of our sister shows, such as the IBTM and ILTM portfolios. We also adapt to the local market in order to provide all those involved with the best possible experience,” concludes Thais Del Ben, marketing manager for WTM Latin America
