WTM Latin America 2024 Wraps Up Successfully, Confirms 2025 Event Dates

The 2024 version of WTM Latin America wrapped up, revealing significant growth across various indicators, including the number of attendees and the size of the exhibit space.

This year, the event saw 29,247 participants, marking an 8.1% rise from 2023’s tally of 27,044. The exhibition featured 797 brands, up 28% from the last year, and expanded its footprint to 7,393 square meters, which is 20% larger than before.

The ConnectMe platform recorded 6,903 scheduled meetings, an 8.5% increase from the previous year’s 6,358. The exhibition halls buzzed with successful connections and deal signings among the exhibitors.

Additionally, the event hosted 54 conferences and training sessions across its three theatres, along with well-attended Speed Networking events that involved international hosted buyers, national buyers, and digital influencers.

A new initiative this year was the Diversity Route, which introduced 20 projects focusing on Afrotourism, LGBTQIAP+ Tourism, and Tourism for individuals over 60. Bianca Pizzolito, the head of WTM Latin America, highlighted this launch as a pioneering effort to promote inclusive projects within various travel sectors.

The event also welcomed first-time participants such as the Tanzania Tourist Board, Belize Tourism Board, TAAG Angola Airlines, Cayman Island, and Guatemala, alongside returning companies like Gol, Azul/Smiles, and LATAM/Delta.

Participants came from a wide array of countries and regions, including Nicaragua, Peru, Chile, Colombia, Argentina, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Uruguay, Barbados, Cuba, Costa Rica, Belize, Italy, Israel, Jordan, Egypt, Maldives, Tanzania, the United States, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Brazilian representation was strong with newcomers like Campos do Jordão, Joinville, and Fortaleza.

The next WTM Latin America is scheduled to be held from April 14th to 16th, 2025, at the Expo Centre Norte in São Paulo.
