On 18-19 April, the World Travel & Tourism Council or WTTC’s 2018 Global Summit will be organized in Buenos Aires, Argentina. All the top industry leaders from public and private sectors will talk about the theme of ‘Our People, Our World, Our Future’. They will be arguing on how the sector is positioned to create sustainable jobs in a future of transformational technology, rising environmental pressures, and in a world where security concerns rule.
The event of this year is arranged in juxtaposition with the Ministry of Tourism of Argentina and the National Institute for Tourism Promotion or INPROTUR, the tourism agency of the city of Buenos Aires, the Argentine Chamber of Tourism.
To quote, Gloria Guevara Manzo, President and CEO of WTTC, “This year’s WTTC Global Summit will bring together CEOs, ministers and representatives of the highest level of international organizations around a very relevant program that will highlight the enormous opportunity that Travel & Tourism offers our world, we will discuss and debate the challenges we face to turn this opportunity into reality, and develop practical actions to ensure that our sector is an agent of positive change in the world. A country that is full of tourism potential, Argentina is the ideal place to have this focused, energetic and meaningful conversation”.
At the time of Summit, talks will aim on how the sector is arranging for the “future of work”, which is majorly driven by technology. Besides, speakers will reveal the contribution of the sector to global sustainable development objectives.
