Zeffirino Pesto signs a partnership with Costa Cruises ships

Costa Cruises and Zeffirino restaurant sign a partnership under the banner of high gastronomic quality, to promote together the excellence of Ligurian cuisine.

From today, guests on holiday aboard the flagships Costa Toscana and Costa Smeralda will be able to enjoy an authentic delicacy: pesto (a green sauce originated in Genoa) from the historic Genoese restaurant, made according to the original recipe and with selected ingredients from the Italian territory.

The pesto will be paired with artisanal “trofie” (a type of pasta from Liguria), creating an iconic dish of Ligurian tradition: “trofie with pesto”.

This delicacy can be ordered in the main restaurants of the two ships, choosing from the premium options available on the menu for an additional fee.

A novelty, signed by two companies united by their Genoese origins and a heritage of over 75 years of history and innovation, which will allow thousands of guests, both Italian and international, to discover the territory of the Liguria region also through the flavours of its cuisine.

As a matter of fact, the two ships on which it will be possible to taste Zeffirino’s trofie with pesto visit Liguria every week.

Throughout the year, the Costa Toscana will visit Genoa every Friday as part of a week-long itinerary exploring Italy, France, and Spain, which also includes calls in Marseille, Barcelona, Cagliari, Naples and Civitavecchia/Rome.

Costa Smeralda will visit Savona every Saturday, following a week-long itinerary in Italy, France and Spain, with calls in Marseille, Barcelona, Ibiza (Palma de Mallorca from 12 September), Palermo, Civitavecchia/Rome.
