Expo 2020 Dubai to hold events in key Indian cities

In the run up to Expo 2020 Dubai, the organizers will be engaging Indian corporate entities and industry associations by oragnising events and road shows in key cities in India.

 

Shaun Vorster, Vice President – Business Programming, Expo2020 Dubai during a travel event in Delhi said that to meet the right people of big business corporations, leadership of trade and industry association and big buyers they will hold events like road shows in Tier –I and II cities in India. They will be holding business meetings, organizing product launches , conferences etc.

 

 

Vorster went on saying that by engaging them closely they will be creating something bespoke as the demands may differ. Expo 2020 is global stage with more than 190 countries participating  and 75% of the visitors to the Expo will be international.
The business visitors during the Expo will be able to celebrate innovation and will be able to make connections and new networks.

 

 

Vorster said that Expo 2020 will be an ideal platform for associations to make delegations for meetings, conferences, gala dinners and award ceremonies in the 45,000 square meter exhibition centre and convention space.A wide spectrum of visitors from 5-year old scientist, scholar and business people will be able to unlock value for business at the Expo.

 

 

Sumathi Ramanathan, Director – Destination Marketing, Expo2020 said that being the first Expo happening in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia region, the sixth-month-long fair will bring out the flavor’ of the region completely. More visitations from the regional markets were expected.
The Expo happens once in every five years has different theme but the overarching principle of the world expo is to bring together human collaboration.

 

 

The theme of the Dubai Expo is ‘Connecting Minds, Creating the Future’ but the whole event will be divided into three sub-themes of ‘Opportunity’, ‘Mobility’ and ‘Sustainability’.

 

 

It will be the first Expo ever to happen during winter – October 20, 2020 to April 10, 2021.
She went on saying that the visitors can go to anywhere in the world for a holiday, but when they are visiting Dubai Expo, they are creating memories for children because they are going to be seeing so many things that they haven’t seen before. Whether it is robotics, AV, VR technology, these are the things that are coming up fast in future and going to touch their lives.

Around 25 million visitors are expected in Dubai Expo as per the organizers.
