To boost up tourist visits at monuments all over Delhi like the Red Fort, Humayun’s Tomb and Safdarjung Tomb have been increased to up to 9 PM.

In Delhi, Qutub Minar is one of the oldest surviving monuments. It dates back to the year 1192. It was constructed by Qutb ud Din Aibak, the founder of Delhi Sultante.

The uppermost storey of the minar was damaged by lightning in 1369, and was reconstructed by Firuz Shah Tughlaq, who got another storey added to the existing minaret. Over the years, the Qutub Minar has suffered damage due to the natural elements such as earthquake.
