899,600 ticket holders travelled through Alamo City terminals in Oct. 2018, nearly 12 per cent more from Oct. 2017. It marks record passenger counts at San Antonio International (SAT) for 28 consecutive months.

The North Side airport also saw a significant increase in air cargo activity. There was increase in October, in both domains – domestic and international travellers. The domestic passenger count rose nearly 12 per cent to 867,298 ticket holders who flew in and out of San Antonio International in October. The role of new routes launched by Frontier, American and Southwest airlines was important.

International traffic was up by 10 per cent, with nearly 32,400 ticket holders arriving in or departing from the Alamo City last month.

Meanwhile, 24.3 million pounds of cargo (10 per cent) were shipped to and fro San Antonio International in October. It is a strong indicator of healthy economic development.

The success journey of SAT will continue as more flights will be added.

It reflects the growing prosperity of San Antonio and our surrounding communities as per Russ Handy, San Antonio Aviation Director.

He said that last year, San Antonio International surpassed 9 million passengers for the first time.

Given the rising trend and the holiday traffic, about 10 million passengers may travel through San Antonio International by 2018 end.
