Tibble joins Como Hospitality, the Americas

Tapa Tibble has been appointed by the Singapore-based lifestyle collection the Como Group as the managing director of the Americas.

Tibble will be operating from the Turks & Caicos in the new role and oversee the Como Parrot Cay and the sister property Como Metropolitan Miami Beach in Florida.

He will also be spearheading upcoming projects in the region.

He earlier worked as the regional director of Europe for Aman Resorts and was responsible for the operations of the European portfolio.

The Canadian-born New Zealander of Maori heritage  has had a somewhat unusual education for a luxury hotelier.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in social science with majors in law and international relations along with post-graduate qualifications in strategic studies.

He shifted his focus to hospitality after completing his studies by pursuing the general manager’s programme at Cornwell University.

He took several prominent roles in his 25 years career. He worked with the shipboard management and general management positions in central Australia and the Philippines.

Tibble was excited to join Como Group and to lead the team of the iconic Como Parrot Cay as it celebrates its 20th Anniversary.
