Visit Brussels ropes in Indian actress for promotion

Visit Brussels collaborated with an Indian magazine and did a photo-shoot with Anushka Sharma, Bollywood actress as a model. In the recent issue of August she could be seen exploring the beautiful city wearing her girl-next door charm and posing at several location in Brussels.

The actress said that the she absolutely loved the shooting in Brussels which is wonderful.

The Grand Place, The House of European History, Fine Arts Museum, Mont des Arts were among the top touristic locations chosen for the shoot.

The picturesque streets, corners and parks were also highlighted keeping in mind the small and integral elements of Brussels which included Bicycle waffles, Envol. Bronze statue of Belgian singer Jacques Brel etc.

Visit Brussels has initiated a wide range of promotional activities to grow the awareness and visibility of the city through workshops, sales visits, travel agents destination training among others.

They are also entering into partnership with key tour operators in India and are organizing several media and familiarisation trips.

It has also spearheaded media campaigns and other innovative activity to raise Brussels profile as a luxury, MICE, leisure and business tourism destination among the Indian tourists.

Last year, 28, 756 Indians visited Brussels and there was a growth of 22 percent in arrivals from India as compared to year 2017.  There was  a significant rise of 30 percent in the number of nights spent in Brussels by Indians during the same period.
