12Go has compiled a curated selection of prime winter travel destinations in Asia, drawing insights from its internal ticket data. By analyzing ticket sales throughout the year, 12Go has pinpointed top destinations tailored to diverse groups of travelers, including solo adventurers, couples, families, and friends.

Leading the list are Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, India, Cambodia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Laos, Malaysia, and Japan.

Thailand takes the lead, showcasing Chiang Mai and Bangkok as versatile options for all types of travelers. Koh Phangan is the preferred spot for solo explorers, while Koh Samui caters to families. Vietnam secures the second position, featuring Da Nang, Hanoi, and Ho Chi Minh City. Sapa emerges as a winter retreat for families, while solo adventurers find excitement in Hanoi’s vibrant streets.

In the third position is the Philippines, offering a unique New Year celebration. Manila and El Nido stand out as popular destinations for all traveler types. Legazpi attracts solo travelers, while Coron appeals to friends and couples, and El Baguio caters to families.

India claims the fourth spot, with cities like Udaipur, Agra, Jaipur, and Delhi being the go-to choices for New Year travel across all demographics. Goa also attracts families during this season. Cambodia secures the fifth spot, featuring New Year celebration hubs like Phnom Penh, Sihanoukville, and Siem Reap.

Indonesia takes the sixth position, highlighting Bali and the Gili Islands as top travel spots. Sanur caters to solo travelers and families, while Nusa Penida is an ideal choice for friends and couples. Sri Lanka captures the seventh position, enchanting travelers with destinations like Ella, Kandy, and Nuwara Eliya. Colombo is a favored option for solo travelers, while Nuwara Eliya appeals to couples and families.

Laos secures the eighth spot with Vang Vieng, Vientiane, and Luang Prabang. Malaysia, with popular destinations such as Kuala Lumpur, Penang, and Langkawi, offers a distinctive vacation experience, claiming the ninth position. Japan rounds up the list in the tenth spot, with Osaka, Tokyo, and Kyoto serving as excellent choices for a New Year getaway, catering to the preferences of all types of travelers.
