2023 WMF Minifootball World Cup formally starts in Ras Al Khaimah

The 2023 WMF Minifootball World Cup has formally started in Ras Al Khaimah with the attendance of His
Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, the ruler of Ras Al Khaimah and the UAE Supreme Council Member. 32 countrywide sides gathered at the WMF Stadium on Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah to revel in the inauguration of this zealously expected global sporting show.

The inaugural event set the stage for a delightful two-week contest which assures an absorbing atmosphere equally on and off the pitch. With Ras Al Khaimah Police rejoicing the important event with the UAE national anthem display and live presentations from domestic and Indian dance troops, viewers at the inaugural day of the event got to witness vibrant and active show of dance, special effects in illumination and live music.

The inaugural day of this 10-day event witnessed 16 squads in Groups A, B, C and D opening actions in
eight tense competitions in the knock-out stage as the UAE presented the competition in its inaugural game against India, winning 1-0. Other highpoints from the inaugural day of minifootball event comprise Mexico getting an enormous 6-0 triumph over Ireland and Spain drawing 2-2 with USA.
