Martin Gauss, President and CEO of airBaltic: “Highly-trained personnel is one of the key factors
in the successful operations of any airline. Since its establishment, the airBaltic Pilot Academy has
educated skilled aviation professionals, with over 120 active students currently pursuing their
dreams here. Therefore, we congratulate the young and determined students of the 21 st group,
who began their studies today to become professional pilots.”
The 21st cadet group is composed of individuals hailing from various countries, including Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, and the Netherlands.
Presently, there are 123 active students enrolled at the airBaltic Pilot Academy. While a majority of them come from Baltic countries, there is also a significant representation from other European Union nations such as Finland, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain, among others. Notably, over 10% of the academy’s students are female. To date, 95 graduates have successfully transitioned into roles at airBaltic.
Students at the airBaltic Pilot Academy are responsible for covering the expenses associated with ATPL theory studies and 45 flight hours, amounting to EUR 15,000. Upon passing the airBaltic pilot assessment and securing employment with the airline, financial assistance in the form of a loan for the remainder of their studies is provided.
